Our Approach

A Unique Perspective

At The Neurodivergent Whisperer, we believe in an affirming neurodiversity paradigm that celebrates differences rather than viewing them as deficits. Her coaching emphasizes that every individual has value, and we strive to empower couples and families of adult children, as well as parents, by providing tools and insights that promote acceptance and understanding. She has cultivated several of her own tools and supports as a late-diagnosed autistic woman who was diagnosed with ADHD in her late twenties.  She discovered an additional PDA profile that was part of her neurological makeup when she attended a training by PDA North America in 2023. As a result of wanting to learn more as a trauma therapist whose population was autistic and ADHD, who was certified in EMDR, she began a journey of soaking in the ND affirming paradigm, both for the clients and herself. In her trauma work, she noticed a pattern of families and couples needing practical supports, someone to psychoeducate on each of the individuals' neurotypes and nervous system responses, and providing carefully curated parts work to understand where each was coming from. Recognizing this could be provided by a coaching model, The Neurodivergent Whisperer was born!
